Advanced Recovery Practitioner – Lived Experience Co-ordinator

For this role you will have either significant experience in providing a substance use services or a related field in health, social care or criminal justice services and/or a relevant qualification such as social work or nursing. You will hold a defined caseload of service users with multiple needs and have, or be willing to develop, a specialism within the team. You will provide learning opportunities and act as a point of expertise within your team, sometimes leading multi-disciplinary discussions to support planning, and be capable of representing the service in external meetings to improve pathways with partner agencies. Whilst not a line management position Advanced Practitioners will form part of the leadership of the team and be key to supporting specific clients with complex needs and workers, particularly those new to the field.

As an Advanced Practitioner we offer a startingsalary of £27,300 with annual pay progression up to £31,937 (Dependent on experience you may be offered a starting salary above the initial starting salary).

Role Responsibility

•To assist individuals to build recovery capital and facilitate resourcefulness

•Supporting service users to engage with service user forums and provide their ‘voice’ both locally and nationally to develop the service’s recovery interventions to enhance a service user’s recovery journey;

•Ensuring access to Recovery Support interventionsincluding onward referrals and signposting to local peer support groups;

•Promote service user involvement across the organisation, offering advice and guidance to staff with linking service users into forums;

•Co-ordinate service user feedback and collate action plans based on the responses i.e. ‘You Said, We Did’ boards

•Represent the service and support individuals to participate in National Service User Forums.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential:

  • Exceptional report writing and case notes
  • Demonstrable experience in working within asubstance use treatment and recovery setting
  • Specialist interest depth knowledge of one or more complexities alongside substance use . This may be mental health, long term conditions, criminality, homelessness, Domestic Violence etc
  • Understanding of risk and risk management, as it applies to substance use and complexity.
  • Significant experience of working in health and social care

Desirable:

  • RMN; Social Work, psychology or other relevant qualification
