Pedestrian Accident Alert

San Angelo, TX (May 23, 2024) – A tragic accident claimed the life of a pedestrian in Tom Green County on Wednesday morning, May 22. Robert Stevens, 63, of San Angelo, was fatally struck by a 2006 Mack tanker truck around 10:10 AM near the 9500 block of S York Rd. The driver, engaged in work duties, inadvertently backed over Stevens. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Texas Highway Patrol, with support from the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office and Wall Volunteer Fire Department, is investigating this incident.
