Job Summary

The Associate Dean of Educational Partnerships will provideleadership for operational strategies and processes that enableEducational Partnerships and dual credit offices and schooldistrict partners to be more productive, efficient and continuouslyimprove the success and credential completion of dual credit, EarlyCollege High School and P- TECH students.

  • Responsible for supervision of staff in educationalpartnerships assigned to enrollment and student support processesand activities.
  • Provides leadership to the implementation of strategies andprocesses to improve productivity, efficiency and continuousimprovement related to enrollment, student support and credentialcompletion.
  • Collaborates on solutions-oriented improvements with highschool partners and Academic Success and Student Success

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Dual credit leader with a track record of developing solutionsand strategies to achieve educational goals and improve studentoutcomes and process efficiencies in collaboration with regionalschool district partners.
  • Academically and experientially qualified to accomplish thegoals of Educational Partnerships to achieve expected programoutcomes with a demonstrated distinguished record of leadership andaccomplishments at a college level.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of Texas Education Agencyand Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board dual creditblueprints and requirements, state, and federal educationalregulations, and SACSCOC accreditation requirements.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective communication withschool district and high school administrators, faculty andstudents as well as other academic and student service personneland external community stakeholders.
  • Experience in shared governance with excellent interpersonalcommunication and problem- solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing dualcredit, ECHS, P-TECH and T-STEM pathways and programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to keep current on latest trends withinthe academic community.
  • Strong work ethic and self-starter with ability to manage andprioritize multiple assignments.
  • Experience in operational planning, policy development, andoutcome/needs assessment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student success.
  • Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skillsto be able to interact with a diverse Dallas College communitynetwork.
  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to customer service withcontinuous focus on improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Dean of K-12 Educational Partnerships in providingleadership for the expansion and improvement of the Dual Creditprogram, Early College High Schools (ECHSs), Pathways to Technology(P- TECHs) ECHS’s and T-STEM programs in coordination with theDallas College Academic Success and Student Success leadership.Develop and implement operational strategies that can be replicatedacross all Dallas College campuses, resulting in increased DualCredit student participation and contact hours as well as anincrease in the successful completion of certificates, degrees andimproved preparation for employment or transfer to auniversity.
  • Manage Educational Partnerships Coordinators and other assignedstaff, providing project management for enrollment and studentsupport logistics.
  • Provide training and engagement activities for staff, facultyand administrators on dual credit processes and student supportstrategies.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelinesestablished by Dallas College, Texas Higher Education CoordinatingBoard, and the Texas Education Agency regarding dual credit and theBlueprints for ECHSs and P-TECHs. Resolve problems related to theimplementation and expansion of these programs by gathering factsand other related resources. In collaboration with InformationTechnology and Educational Partnerships, researches and developstechnology solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness ofprocedures.
  • Build positive and collaborative working relationships withstaff, faculty and administrators at all Dallas College locations,as well as with personnel from the ISD’s, Charter and PrivateSchools and community agencies. Evaluate academic programs andprocesses, analyzing the current and future needs of the studentsand community.
  • Completes required Dallas College Professional Developmenttraining hours per academic year.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree with Master’s preferred in relatedfield.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in higher educationOR three (3) years of experience with Dual Credit and Early CollegeHigh Schools.
  • Current and valid Texas driver’s license required for offsitetravel.
  • Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
